Messina is the third largest city in Sicily, Italy and the city is found on the northeast side of the island. The city is located in between the islands of Sicily and mainland Italy to run Straight of Messina, and connects the Tyrrhenian Sea on the west by the Ionian Sea in the east. For such a shallow and narrow stretch of water, straight Messina has always caused problems for sailors with strong currents, which are known to tear seaweed from the ocean floor. On either side of the straight, the land is rugged, yet lush and Mt. Etna rises up to pose in the natural beauty of the area. Agriculture abundant in this region and Messina Italy produces fruits and vegetables that are distinct and different wines. Options budget a little, but as you will probably stay for only one night here, serve you well to enjoy the views over the sea and the relative comfort of a lot to offer.
