Estes Park Colorado is best known as the main gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. This title alone makes it a popular place to visit, with recreational activities to be what most visitors have in mind. Complement the recreational opportunities in CO Estes Park in the city a few attractions that ensure the look, and visitors should not want for food or lodging options. This is a very complete vacation destination, and will only be better if you consider that offer proximity to several major Colorado cities.  Estes Park Colorado sitting in the front range of the Rocky Mountains and just 70 miles northwest of Denver. Also nearby is the Boulder and Fort Collins. In fact, Estes Park is located just 34 miles northwest of Boulder and 42 miles is all that separates the city of Fort Collins. This makes it easy to cover all the four goals of multi-stop tour through the area. Of course, you can also choose to spend all your vacation time in Estes Park. There are certainly enough things to do, especially when you consider that one of the nation’s largest national park is right on the doorstep of the city.

Rocky Mountain National Park is a spectacular place to visit. Majestic mountains dominate the landscape, and the area is also rich in pine trees and mountain lakes. Famous Trail Ridge Road stretches from Estes Park to Grand Lake, and this stretch of Highway 34 is very popular with riders sightseeing. You may be interested to know that the highest part of the Road Trail Ridge tops out at 12,183 feet above sea level is impressive.  Estes Park sits at an altitude of 7522 meters above sea level. Founded in the 1850s, he has always been a tourist town. King Estes Park hotel, a landmark Stanley Hotel, established in 1909 and helped to inspire a Novel Stephen King Shining many years later. Also worth highlighting is the fact that the Stanley Hotel was built by FOR Stanley, who is also responsible for inventing the Stanley Steamer. An outdoor heated spa, tennis courts, spa and figures one of the facilities at the Stanley Hotel, and 140 guest units come in various shapes and sizes. Hotel’s address is 333 Wonder View Avenue, and it’s worth a visit even if you do not plan to stay overnight, you will be very sorry.  Jobs in the tourist town of Estes Park visitors may want to make some time for the Estes Park Museum and the Estes Park Aerial Tramway.
